"Hearts and Flowers" is a short story by two-time Governor General Award nominee Tomson Highway, adapted and directed as a radio-phonic performance piece by David Ferry. This year's "Short Waves, Short Stories" presentation tells the story of a First Nations' boy discovering his own humanity against the backdrop of his life in a Manitoba Residential School.

Writers in the Wild will feature a reading by author Lawrence Hill, and music by Amelia Curran and Jody Richardson. Jody will lead us in a ChoirChoirChoir inspired sing-along tribute to Gord Downie. Park Interpreter Fred Sheppard has planned a special welcome song and might be convinced to spin a tale about a moose and a giant! Come Walk in the Wild with us!
