Alison Gzowski lived in St. John's several years ago and has closely followed the Newfoundland literary and music scene ever since. She is an editor at the Globe and Mail and producer of CBC Radio's Talking Books, and is the author of Facing Freedom: The Children of Eastern Europe.
Stephen Brunt, sports columnist with The Globe and Mail, is an award-winning journalist who has written eight books including the recent number-one best seller, Searching for Bobby Orr. He lives in Hamilton, Ontario and Woody Point, Newfoundland.

Shelagh Rogers is a broadcast journalist with CBC Radio. She is the author of "Canada", published by Key Porter. She holds an honourary doctorate from the University of Western Ontario and is the winner of the John Drainie Award, Canadian broadcasting's highest honour.
