Monica Kidd
came to Newfoundland as a seabird biologist and later began working full-time as a reporter for CBC Radio, where she won numerous awards for news stories and documentaries. She is currently attending medical school at Memorial University of Newfoundland. Kidd's poetry has appeared in many Canadian and international journals and anthologies. Her first book of poetry, Actualities, was published in 2007.
