Des Walsh
A Festival regular, St. John’s-born Des Walsh was a key figure in Newfoundland’s cultural rebirth in the 1970’s. He has published four books of poetry, and co-wrote the award winning TV drama The Boys of St. Vincent and the TV adaptation of Bernice Morgan’s novel Random Passage. His screenplay for Love and Savagery, based on his book of poetry, is being filmed this summer in Ireland and Newfoundland.
