This year's WAWP kicks off with an opening concert by Canadian singer, songwriter and environmental activist Sarah Harmer, hot on the heels of the release of her much-anticipated fifth album, Oh Little Fire.

A Juno and Polaris award nominee, Harmer's performance in the intimate confines of the Heritage Theatre promises to be one of the highlights of the summer season. Opening is Corner Brook's Sherman Downey and the Ambiguous Case, who have just released their debut album, Honey for Bees.
