The East Pointers
If you leave a performance by The East Pointers without a great big smile on your face, there’s really nothing more we can do for you.
Tim Chaisson and Jake Charron join us from that other island province in the midst of a busy year that has included the release of their latest album, Schoonertown, and a national tour with our good friend Alan Doyle.
How to best describe their sound? They put it best: “A JOY-CONJURING, DANCEFLOOR-SHAKING, ROOF-RATTLING FUSION OF FOLK, POP, AND DANCE MUSIC.”
The guys will perform a stand-alone show at the Shoal Brook United Church on Friday night (with special guests The Hot Club of Conception Bay) and then take the main stage at the Heritage Theatre on Saturday as part of our program of readings and music.
And just maybe we can persuade them to drop in on the Traditional (and not so traditional) Music Session late Friday night.
Tickets go on sale Saturday, May 9 at 1PM Newfoundland time via Ticketpro!
