This year we'll present the 15th edition of Short Waves/Short Stories, the wildly innovative live theatre experience created by our friend, the Newfoundland-born actor, director and writer David Ferry.

Newfoundland photographer Ned Pratt created a beautiful photograph called "Memories of Places." The image was shot in Trout River during his residency last spring and we love how it captures this place.

Each year, our festival brings a mix of familiar faces and exciting new ones to Woody Point and this year is no different — though we will be holding a little extra space in our hearts for one dear friend.

We are so happy to announce that Adrian Sutherland will be joining us this year, all the way from Attawapiskat First Nation on the shores of James Bay.

Adrian is a Juno-nominated singer-songwriter whose most recent album, Precious Diamonds, was produced by friend-of-the-festival Colin Linden.

He is also an author.
