Richard Ford returns to Woody Point
We are so pleased to announce the return to Woody Point of one of the most important writers of our era, Richard Ford.
A master of the short story and the novel, he is the author of thirteen works of fiction along with the memoir Between Them: Remembering My Parents. In 1995 his novel Independence Day won both the Pulitzer Prize and the Penn/Faulkner Award for fiction, the only time that has happened.
Richard was last with us following the publication of his landmark novel, Canada.
He returns in 2026 with Be Mine, which marks the fifth and final appearance of one of the great characters in American literature, Frank Bascombe, who we first met in The Sportswriter.
It is our great honour and pleasure to welcome our friends Richard and Kristina Ford back to Newfoundland.
Tickets go on sale Saturday, May 9 at 1PM Newfoundland time via Ticketpro!
