Miriam Toews & Christine Fellows

We have always loved the idea of mixing and matching writers and musicians and then sitting back to enjoy the result. Wonderful and unexpected synergies always emerge when creative people share the Heritage Theatre stage.

This year, in a special Sunday evening performance, we have taken that to another level, turning the show over one of our favourite authors and one of our favourite musicians.

Their only direction: have fun, collaborate, and create something special.

Miriam Toews is one of Canada’s most acclaimed and beloved writers, the author of All My Puny Sorrows, Women Talking and Fight Night. Her most recent work is the memoir A Truce That Is Not Peace.

Christine Fellows is a musician and visual artist who was part of two of the most memorable nights in the history of our festival in brilliant partnership with the artist Shary Boyle.

On the evening of August 23rd Miriam and Christine (accompanied by a small ensemble) will merge their talents in an original, one-time only performance.

We can’t wait to see what happens.

Tickets go on sale Saturday, May 9 at 1PM Newfoundland time via Ticketpro!
